When you write articles for affiliate marketing you need to make sure that your articles are well written because they will be used as a powerful marketing tool and they will help to bring traffic to websites that they are put on. Also, the more articles that you happen to write the more traffic you may have the opportunity to drive to that particular website. Someone that is considered a good affiliate marketer should be writing about 10 to 15 articles each and every day. That can be easier said than done sometimes, so here are a few guidelines to help you create a series of affiliate marketing articles.

The best way that you can write this many articles for websites is by creating article outlines. These outlines can become the design for your blueprints for all of your articles. On top of that you need to create an introduction, the content and a conclusion for your articles and the outline can help with that. You should also try and do research on about 20 of your favorite sub-topics that you want to write on and you should make an outline for each one of the topics.

Once you have your outlines designed and you have gathered enough notes from your research on the topics you can start putting the information in your own words into your outline design. Make sure to put the information in your own style of writing.

You need to be able to tell the readers what you are going to write about through your introduction, and try to make it something that will interest the readers you are trying to attract. Once you have done this, you need to make your second paragraph begin to lay out the knowledge that you have about the topic you have researched. Make sure that your information flows smoothly from one paragraph to another.

If the information that you have gathered can be put into a list with numbers or with bullets then you should try and include these in your articles. This adds a visual interest and for some people it makes it easier to read.

When you get to the conclusion you need to try and bring all of the points together and simply put what you have just said. You also need to leave them with some sort of lasting impression. You need to figure out what you want your readers to do with your information and how you think they would like to use it.

It's probably best if you try to keep all of your articles lengths between 400 to 600 words. If you write too long of an article you are going to lose the interest of a lot of readers. If it is written good enough you will be able to keep their interest as well as make them want to come back and read more at a later date.

There is very little risk if any risk at all becoming an affiliate. That's because it is totally free and costs nothing to become a part of. The only thing that it might cost someone is how much time they might want to put into promoting the products that they are featuring with their affiliate links. There is no risk in errors made by the affiliate when it comes to sales or orders because the company that provides the products are the ones that take care of the orders, filling them and collecting the money. So, there really isn't much the affiliate has to do but advertise.

Some providers are more than happy to provide their affiliates with different tools that they can use to help them try and promote the different products like banners that can be put on their websites, templates for email marketing and different articles they can use to give them ideas on different ways to promote the products or services.

Probably the hardest thing to do is to figure out which program or programs are going to be best for you. It will all depend upon what your own personal likes and dislikes are. You definitely don't want to promote something that you don't like and expect your visitors to like it. If you can't promote with an honest approach, no one is going to buy into it.  

Today, it's not all that hard to create yourself a website. In fact, that's the easy part. It's getting people to come and visit your site that is the hardest part of all. To get traffic to your site takes a lot of work, time, effort and sometimes even money to be able to do it. Be careful when trying to get traffic and don't fall for a lot of those get traffic quick promises out there as a lot of them, just like the get rich schemes, are scams. Some of the better and more reliable methods are listed below.

First things first, make sure that your website looks as professional as possible. It's best that if you are just starting and haven't gotten set up yet, to get yourself a domain name first and then set up your website. Make sure then that you build your site with a theme that best suits your design and make sure that it's not too cluttered or messy looking. Also, make sure the domain name isn't too long either. Make sure the site is easy to navigate, easy to read and doesn't have a bunch of flashy stuff.

One way of boosting your ranking in the search engines is to get other websites out there to link to yours and you then can link to them. This is called link building and there are tons of ways to do this. Of course the good old fashioned way is to email the sites you'd like to have links on and ask them to post your link in exchange for posting theirs on your website. You can also post a link inside of your comments that you might make on different forums and blogs but at the same time you need to make an attempt to communicate. Remember, people can spot a spammer from a mile away so don't just use the blogs or forums to promote yourself, get involved with the conversations. You can also guest write for other sites if you want and they generally will allow you to include a link to your site within your article.

Make sure that you are familiar with SEO or search engine optimization. This is a term for anything that will improve your rankings on search engines but it usually means that you use some practices that will make site more friendly for search engines.

The most common is how you code. Having “alt” attributes within your coding is a good one or making sure that your headings have “h1” or “h2” tags on them. You will also want to make sure that the meta info that you provide for your page has good descriptions and good keywords or search words. You also need to make sure that the title tag has keywords in it as well so that the URL will contain the keywords.

You can also use social bookmarking sites like Digg, Reddit as well as StumbleUpon to help drive more traffic to your site. Facebook and Twitter can be used as well, but they are not the be all or end all way of promoting traffic as some originally thought they would be. These two are better for getting your so called “brand” out to the public than they are for directing traffic to your website.

Do some advertising by joining a good affiliate program. Probably one of the better one of these that can send traffic your way is by getting into the Google Adwords program. You will only pay for the advertising when someone clicks through to your website, which means though that the traffic you get is guaranteed. However, this can be expensive and some advertising for you site can do more harm than good to your site.

In order to maintain any traffic you start getting to your site and for them to spread the word, the content that you place on your site has to be of high quality and your content should be consistent and you need to make sure that you constantly update your site in order to keep people coming back for more.  

Syndication is a really broad area which is relatively easy to jump into. It is far more than just putting an RSS feed or two on your site and then letting it be. It is far more than that. For instance one way to syndicate your articles is by submitting them to different article directories and then there will be other websites that look at these directories and may pick up your article and then reproduce the content with a link back to your website. Understand if the article is good enough that one submission to many different directories could mean that your affiliate marketing article could end up on hundreds if not thousands of different websites.

Another good way to syndicate your articles is to consider social bookmarking. You can promote your website and articles publicly by using social bookmarking pages. You use this in order to get people to like or love your site and in return other web surfers are going to see this and then follow the link to your site where your articles are located.

When you start syndicating your articles it is important that you consider carefully the competition that you have. It is impossible to get away without having some sort of competition out there. There are literally millions of sites out there that have topics that have some website that covers it. You should do a search about your topic and then review all the top ranked sites that cover the topic that is similar to yours. You can then in turn use this information to formulate your own plan of attack in which you make yours as different as you can from your competition.

You will also need to commit yourself to making a long term syndication plan in order to be successful. So sit down and take a real hard look at how much time you want to put into it. It's better that you estimate less and then if you have time to do more then do so.

Make a list of all the ways in which you feel you can take advantage of when it comes promoting and syndicating your articles. Go over everything on the list and start to refine it and go only with the methods or ways that are closest to what you want to accomplish.

You will need to do your homework well in order to sift through all the different kinds of syndication methods that are out there at your disposal. Make sure that your review as many different ones as you can and only choose the ones that you feel you can commit yourself to and that will be the ones that will be suit your needs.  

What Clickbank is not, is an online banking system. What it is in reality is a database that actually contains thousands upon thousands of different digital products that are then sold by what are called Clickbank publishers and their products are promoted by what are called Clickbank affiliate marketers. In return for the products being promoted the affiliates will receive some sort of commission for any sale of the products they were promoting and redirecting traffic for.

There are a variety of different ways in which Clickbanks can be promoted and one of those ways is to promote them via social networks, blogs and forums. Before a person begins to promote Clickbank products they should find a Clickbank marketplace and go through the different products offered and choose a product or product that they like and feel comfortable in promoting.

After the product or products have been decided upon then the person will need to create what are called affiliate hoplinks for all of the products they have chosen. These hoplinks can then be put on whatever social networks, blogs or forums that a person is associated with.

If Squidoo is a site you are using you will need to set up what is called a Squidoo Lens for each of the products that you want to promote. You can do this by adding any article you want or by writing up reviews of the products that are being promoted. When writing these articles or reviews you need to make sure that you include as many keywords that deal with the product as well as affiliate links spread through the entire article. These are best if they are the hoplinks which will allow the person to click on them and be transported where they can read more about the product.

If you are using a place like Myspace you just register as a member and then send out notices to all of your friends you may have on Myspace about these Clickbank products making sure that you have your affiliate link included in your short writing or notice. Only do this with people who are really your friends and not just anyone because this then becomes spam.

You can also make up your own free blog and use it entirely to promote your Clickbank products and devote the blog to reviewing the different products. Your blog posts can be solely informational articles with affiliate links in them, or they can be reviews or testimonials of those who have used the products you are trying to promote.

Another thing you can do is search different forums that seem to promote similar Clickbank products. This way no one on the forum is going to be offended by you posting your own Clickbank products and affiliate links on the forum since this is something they are accustomed to.

When you send out emails to family and friends or even to those you don't know all that well, make sure that you include your affiliate links in your email signature. This is not considered spam and a lot of times people will be curious about these links and click on them without you having to do or say anything that looks like you are promoting products.  

Just like everything else out there on the Internet, you will run into affiliate marketing scams. There are those out there that are waiting to make a buck off of any innocent person that they can. So, it's important that if you are considering doing some sort of affiliate marketing that you are careful and try and avoid falling for the variety of different scams that do exist.

Always remember, and this goes for anything, not just affiliate marketing - If something sounds impossible or just too good to be true, then it more than likely is. Even though it is true that you can make money by getting involved in affiliate marketing, it is not true that you'll be making thousands of dollars a month. You hear a promise like this and you are more than likely looking at a scam. Sure you might make some money and sometimes some pretty good money, but it doesn't happen overnight and it doesn't happen if you don't work hard at it. If someone claims that you can make big money in a very short period of time, they're lying, plain and simple.

If they expect you t pay some sort of fee, you are definitely dealing with a scam. You never have to pay for an affiliate program. They pay you, that's all there is to it. You let them put links on your website and they have to pay you for the visitors that click on the link and/or buy something from the marketeer’s website. That's all there is to it. They don't expect you to pay them for putting ads and links on your website. Even if they say the money is for a background check or a drug test, you still are more than likely looking at a scam and let it go, don't get involved.

Another thing, don't get involved with links that you don't believe in or seem to be a little on the shady side. You don't want to be promoting products or services that might be suspect. This could be someone trying to use you and your site as a front for something that might be a little risky or even illegal. So, make sure to check out the sites and the links before agreeing to put it on your website.

Pay attention to how they say they are going to pay you. Probably the least risky is pay per click or something like the Google AdSense. Don't fall for being paid by commission and not clicks. The reason for this is that they can simply use you and your site to get sales and then you get nothing from it. Yet another scam.

The safest thing to do is stick with affiliates that you have heard of, used their products or been to their sites before. This way you can avoid scams all together.  

In case you don't know what Clickbank is, it's a database that holds literally thousands of different kinds of digital products that are sold by different Clickbank publishers. These publishers will then rely upon the work done by affiliate marketers. The affiliates promote the products and then if a successful sale occurs they will receive a certain amount of commission from the sale of the different products. Here are a few ideas on how to promote these products for you to be successful with your affiliate venture.

The first thing you need to do and the simplest thing is to decide which Clickbank product or products you want to promote. You can do this by going to what is called the Clickbank Marketplace and then choose the items that you think might be of interest to your visitors.

You will then click the button under the product that says “create hoplink” this is what will create your affiliate link that you will need when you start promoting the product. Once you have this you should start creating a list of keywords by using a keyword tool like WordTracker or Google Adwords Keyword Tool. These will help you do research on favorite keywords and key phrases.

Once you have your list of keywords you should choose the best two to four words off of this list and then you can start writing a series of five to ten short articles that are about 400 to 500 words in length. These articles should be based upon the keywords that you have chosen. The articles can be informative, very serious or they can even be humorous. It just depends upon what you are trying to get across to the reader. However, never make the article look like it is promoting a product or that it is a direct sales pitch.

Once you have your articles are written you should submit them to several different places. A couple of popular places where people submit their articles would be EzineArticles and GoArticles. When you do submit your articles make sure that you have a way of notating your resources, one way would be if they offer a biography box for the author on their site.

This resource listing or biography box should be a couple of short sentences about yourself as well as a little tiny bit about the Clickbank product you are trying to promote which should also contain that hoplink that you were given when you chose your product. This hoplink should only be used in this manner and do not include it in the article itself.

You can also promote your products by using social sites, blogs and forums as long as you do so tastefully and tactfully. You can join a variety of different social sites and create profiles for each one and then include all of your important information with hoplinks in that information so that people will see it whenever they check your profile.

You can then send out bulletins out to all of your friends and let them know about your social network and take that opportunity to include your affiliate link and write a short piece about the product that you are promoting. It can either be a review or a testimonial whichever serves your purpose better.

Another thing you can do is set up a free blog account that is totally dedicated to the Clickbank products that you are going to promote. If it's your own blog, you can pretty much include anything you want like product reviews, articles that are informational or even testimonials of other people. Even on a blog though, your articles should contain good keywords that relate to the product you are promoting.

If you join a forum or several forums make sure that they somehow have some sort of relationship with the product or products you are trying to promote. For example if you are promoting an acne product you might want to join a forum about skin care.

With forums you should never put any of your affiliate links within your post but wait to do so when you put in your signature. It's OK and acceptable with most forums for a person to have a link within their signature, but only there.

Note: There might be some sites that won't let you put your affiliate link in your bio box or info section so you might want to make sure that you have your own site that has its own domain name and then when they click on that you will be able to present them with links to your affiliate products.  

There are many ways to try and get traffic to your site when you are an affiliate marketer and most of them will cost you some money. If you really don't want to spend a lot of money to do that you can always consider trying the 5 ways listed here that can generate some traffic without spending any money just some of your time and effort.

One good way to get some free traffic to your site without spending a dime is to become a regular participant on several different major and proactive forums on the Internet. Getting involved in different forums is probably one of the best ways of getting traffic for free. Word of advice though, check out all the forums you might be interested in and join them for awhile as a guest to get the feel for the people that frequent. Don't join a forum before you feel comfortable with the people and the setting.

You can also consider setting up your own free blog. When you blog online you can do something that not only gives you freedom to express yourself but it also allows you to freely promote your affiliate associations, just as long as you don't go overboard and turn people off. You need to have content on your blog that is going to interest people and want them to comment on your blogs. In order for your blog to be successful remember that you need to post to it on a consistent basis and promote your blog. You can ping your blog, post comments on other related blogs and then include your blog in your signature, use RSS and podcasting technology as well. So to get that traffic you need from a blog you are going to have to work to get people to come to your blog.

There are a ton of active social networks still out there so you should start taking a look at all of them just like you did with the forums and see which ones that you might feel the most comfortable becoming a member of. Of course the three most popular are Facebook, Twitter and MySpace but there still are a lot of other ones out there that you might feel a lot better being a member of. When you have joined one or several then you can start building relationships where you can eventually start talking about and sharing with others information about your affiliate marketing.

You can also start making videos about your marketing and the products that you are trying to promote. Video has really become an important tool on the Internet so there is no reason why you can't cash in on it as well. Probably the best place to go would be YouTube. Create yourself a fun and interesting video about a certain product and then put it on YouTube and then start promoting. This could very well get you some free traffic to your site.

The last idea and some make think it's weird but do some free advertising offline. Go ahead and make up fliers and put them around places that have free WiFi and other public areas that have computers set up. You can then attract people to your site in this fashion. You also should remember good old fashioned word of mouth advertising. Tell all of your friends & family as word of mouth is still a powerful tool for getting people to take a look at your work.  

If you have a website or a company that has a website with a newsletter you are going to want people to sign up for it so that you can keep them up to date with your products and any affiliate marketing that you might also have included within your newsletter. One of the main keys to getting people to sign up is to make sure that it is really easy to do so. You need to be able to have a simple form they can access and you have to make them feel like the newsletter offers them something special.

If the newsletter that is generated for your website or company is one that is done through email, it is important to note that you really should keep it as short but still informative as you can. You don't want the reader to have to do a lot of scrolling while reading the email. When you are using affiliate marketing within the newsletter, make sure that they are clever and are easy to use links.

It's important that the people who may consider signing up for your newsletter feels that the newsletter offers them something of value. It needs to contain stories or interesting information for the readers. It needs to be something they basically can't find anywhere else on your company website or personal website. If it's a company newsletter then make sure that you have a section that might profile different achievements of employees or include a profile of your company. Readers like to feel like they know you. Include Q&A's with company leaders or managers. Anything that will keep the reader's interest.

Another way to get people to sign up is to consider offering your readers some sort of giveaway or promotion that they can only get if they sign up for the newsletter. You should mention something like this on your website so they know they will receive whatever it is if they simply sign up for your newsletter.

Make sure that there are a variety of different places for them to sign up for the newsletter on your website. You might even want to include a link for sign up inside the newsletter at the bottom in case others forward your newsletter onto other people who are not signed up for it. Don't go overboard however, when it comes to links for sign ups on your website. Overdoing it is as bad if not worse than not doing it at all.

Always make sure that they see the word “free”. Let them know there is no cost to them to sign up and join your newsletter service. Make sure that they know that it is something that is complimentary. People always like to feel like they are getting something for nothing.

You should also be able to offer the reader the option of whether they want it sent to them in HTML format or if they would rather have it sent in regular text. After all there are still some email services and mobile phones that have a hard time with HTML formats in email. No one is going to want your newsletter if it doesn't show up properly on whatever device they are using to read it.

When it comes to the actual sign up process, make sure it is a simple as you can get it. Make sure you limit the required information to just name and email address. All other information should be optional. The more things that you require that they fill out will more times than not make them quite filling out the form and moving on elsewhere. So keep it simple and to the point.

This is not a new idea, making money with your blog, in fact people have been doing for quite some time.
